Selected photos by Rod
Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from our 8 September 2022 spider collecting trip with the main goal of Pinus Lake, an obscure pond on a plateau south of the North Fork Nooksack River, Whatcom County, Washington. We finally found the lake (there's no real trail to it), and spiders there were sparse, even in an unexpected Sphagnum bog. However, I added a few from conifer foliage on a nearby rocky hilltop by a state radio facility, then we tried for a lower-elevation sample down along the river and got several more. In the end we had 28 species, but we sure had to work for them.
