Selected photos by Rod
Crawford and Jerry Austin from our 1 August 2023 spider collecting trip with to the Eight Mile Creek Trail and its destination, Squire Creek Pass, SSW of Darrington, Snohomish County, Washington. By design, I spent the day collecting in trailhead habitats while Jerry hiked to the pass (quite a workout) and had time to sample two habitats there. One other party of two hikers used the trail that day; Jerry met them above and I, below, then I was alone until one solitary hiker arrived near dusk and hiked up the road, not the trail! We got a better-than-nothing 21-22 species.
