Album of Little Quilcene Valley Field Trip

Selected photos by Laurel Ramseyer and Rod Crawford from our 29 June 2023 spider collecting trip to sites west of Quilcene on the east coast of the Olympic Peninsula. We hit two sites along Little Quilcene Road (a higher forest on Deadfall Creek and a lower one near Lords Lake), and two along Penny Creek Road (a streamside and a clearcut). Despite an unpromising start (skunked at Quilcene Cemetery), in the end we scraped together another great 40-species sample! But we never actually visited the Little Quilcene River, though we did cross it lower down.
