Album of Oakland Bay Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from our 15 March 2019 spider collecting trip to the Bayshore Preserve, the adjacent state wildlife site, and an urban habitat all on Oakland Bay of Puget Sound, in Mason County, Washington. The state property had plenty of invasive plants, the preserve property had almost none — great work, Capitol Land Trust! The preserve land is a former golf course which makes the layout of trees and grass seem more than a little unnatural, but restoration is proceeding and we managed to get 37 spider species.
