Album of Halfway Creek Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Sayna Parsi from our 8 October 2023 spider collecting trip to sites near Halfway Creek and Jones Creek along Pe Ell - McDonald Road, Lewis County, Washington. We started a bit slow sweeping a roadside marsh, then hiked up a gated road into a riparian alder area where we got good litter and moss sift samples. Farther along, we came to a powerline clearing where we got a decent salal beat and an outstanding sweep sample (the latter, I managed to lose!). But proceeding to a second site at a roadside meadow, conifer beating and another salal sample brought us up to an outstanding total of 50-53 species!
