Album of Tilton River Forks Area Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford from the 22 May 2026 spider collecting trip (with Kathy Whaley and Jerry Austin) to sites near the confluence of North and main forks Tilton River, Lewis County, Washington. We collected in two contiguous but different-aged clearcuts adjacent to Jefferson Creek and a younger treeless grassy field in one of them, and found the spider fauna exceptionally rich; then we supplemented that with a sample from a mature but largely deciduous forest to the south, also reasonably rich, ending with a great sample of 52 species, including some very interesting species!
