Selected photos by Rod
Crawford from the 20 June 2026 spider collecting trip (with Kathy Whaley and Carter Kitterman) to the area of Cispus River and Woods Creek south of Randle, Lewis County, Washington. We collected at the edge of a clearcut near the river with spider-rich Douglas-fir foliage (and some other habitats), then wandered over the twin loops of the Woods Creek Nature Trail trying in vain to get into some gorgeous meadows; we did succeed in reaching the promised old growth stand, however. The day's collecting netted us 44 species.
