Album of Dailey Prairie Field Trip

Selected photos from the spider collecting field trip to a state Natural Area Preserve in Whatcom County, Washington on 2 July 2007 with Laurel Ramseyer and Rod Crawford. Photos by both, as credited. The preserve, not technically a prairie, is a large montane Sphagnum bog in pristine condition surrounded by a very narrow band of highly distinctive old growth forest. The yield of 35 species was good for a visit rather late in the year for bog collecting. Many thanks to David Wilderman and Christ Thomsen (no, that's not a typo) of the Department of Natural Resources for facilitating this research. You can download a plant list (Word document) for the site here.
