Album of Bacon Creek Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from our 16 October 2017 spider collecting trip to Bacon Creek (NE of Marblemount), Skagit County, Washington (with a stop on the Skagit River east of Rockport). The weather cooperated, and our first site quickly completed the Sauk Mountain sample, but on Bacon Creek itself the foliage was rather moist and most habitats only moderately productive at most; still, we got at least 30 species there including an unidentified linyphiid and the very rare Drapetisca alteranda. Plus, the Rockport sample added another new introduced species, pirate spider Ero tuberculata. It's hard to go wrong in October!
