Album of North Cascades Basecamp Field Trip

Selected photos (by Rod Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer) from our 21 June 2011 spider collecting trip to the North Cascades Basecamp, a naturalists' bed-and-breakfast on the Methow River, Mazama, Okanogan County, Washington. Laurel visited the place too late last year with too little time to collect, but this time we (assisted by Jerry Austin) got an adequate sample of 28 species in about 2.5 hours, facilitated by owners Kim and Steve Bondi. Unfortunately, Rod left his camera in the car, so there are no photos of the river, birch grove or adjacent meadow where most of the spiders came from… This is the first of 5 albums from our June 21-22 mini-expedition to the Okanogan Highlands.
