Album of Sauk Mountain Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Matisse Lorance from our 15 August 2012 spider collecting trip (with Jerry Austin) to the summit ridge of Sauk Mounain, Skagit County, Washington. The hike to the top was not too difficult but spiders proved to be particularly sparse there and we managed a bare 20 species, 21 if we turn out to have been lucky, but including a very interesting record of the alpine wolf spider Pardosa rainieriana, found by Jerry. The scenery was spectacular, however.
