Album of Lyre River Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Joy Liu from our 7 May 2012 spider collecting trip to a state campground on the Lyre River near the Strait of Juan de Fuca. All habitats were reasonably well-stocked with spiders in this really beautiful spot, and we got 24-25 spider species in under 3 hours despite having no beach access. The trip home was marred by some long waits due to bridge closure, but it was a very pleasant night with a huge moon so we can't complain too much.
