Album of Elwha Dike Trail Field Trip
On the first official field expedition (1-2 April 2008) of
the Elwha River Biological Survey, Laurel Ramseyer and I collected at the mouth
of the river along the Elwha Dike Trail and at two other sites, besides sampling
pitfall traps from previous trips. This page is dedicated to the Elwha Dike
Trail site, including beach habitats, willow thickets and an extensive alder
swamp. Weather was cool but fine on April 1st, no fooling! Many thanks to the
Dudley family who own this property for allowing public access and giving us
permission to collect. Photos by Laurel Ramseyer and Rod
Crawford.
