Album of Lake Mills Boat Launch Field Trip
On the first official field expedition (1-2 April 2008) of
the Elwha River Biological Survey, Laurel Ramseyer and I collected just south
of the boat launch on Lake Mills reservoir and at two other sites, besides sampling
pitfall traps from previous trips. This page is dedicated to the Lake Mills
site, where the alder-maple riparian forest was still leafless and sunny, with
23 species of early spring spiders taken. Weather on April 2nd was just about
perfect. Photos by Laurel Ramseyer and Rod
Crawford.
