Selected photos by Rod
Crawford and Della Scott from our 21 July 2017 spider collecting trip (and fun outing) to Jetty Island, a sandy key off the Everett (Snohomish County, Washington) city waterfront. Originally an artificial rock jetty, both artificial and natural processes built the island up to its present quasi-natural condition. It was interesting to see what spiders live in such a place, although a late-Spring visit would have been more productive than a late-July one. Still, I added 8 species to the list of 26 I'd previously taken in a forested site on the north side of the bay.
