Selected photos by Rod
Crawford from my 29 July 2021 spider collecting trip (with Jerry Austin) to Quartz Creek Trail, north side of the North Fork Skykomish River, far southeastern Snohomish County, Washington. The long-washed-out road to this trail was finally repaired early last year, just in time for the pandemic shutdown! It's in fairly good condition now and so is the trail, barring one biggish log and one boulder (not the one shown below, but I forgot to photograph the real one!). Between low elevation trailhead and mid-elevation old growth, we managed to get a basic sample of 22 species despite a late start and a lot of deer flies.
