Album of Whitepine Trailhead Field Trip
On the mostly-sunny last day of June, Laurel and I went over Stevens Pass and stopped a few miles on the far side at the trailhead of Whitepine Creek Trail, where several nice habitats were available. Later, we collected at a small creek and a quarry in the vicinity. Laurel sampled her recently discovered pine cone habitat again with good results. We got 37 spider species in all, including several I didn't immediately recognize; also a few mosquito bites and raindrops. All photos by Laurel
Ramseyer (Rod's old camera is now officially obsolete). See here for Laurel's recollections of the trip.
