Album of 2013 Arboretum BioBlitz Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Angela Winner from the "spider team" foray on the second Washington Park Arboretum BioBlitz, 11 May 2013. The first of these events was held in the Foster Island wetland areas and produced some interesting records. This time, activity was directed to the more-groomed, central parts of the Arboretum (near the University of Washington campus in Seattle). We did eventually locate some fairly natural habitats, but they weren't unusually productive, and as expected, many of the species taken were non-native. However, there were some new records for the park. Four volunteers, including Scarab Winner and her son Aidan, participated in the first "shift" but only the arachnologist was around for the afternoon session.
