Album of Mount Ellinor Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from our 31 July 2015 spider collecting trip with Jessi Bishopp to Mount Ellinor in Olympic National Forest, Mason County, Washington. Laurel found no pine trees but collected some spiders from mountain hemlock cones. Jessi in her youthful vigor climbed all the way to the summit and added some good species to those Rod and Laurel took from treeline and forest habitats. There were some introduced species way up the very steep trail, as well as a very unusual black Araneus gemmoides; we got 31 spider species in all. See Laurel's account here also!
