Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from our 4 November 2016 spider collecting trip to Johnny Creek Campground on Icicle Creek (near Leavenworth), Chelan County, Washington. A prediction of fine weather gave us great hopes for this site, which were not realized! Sunlight hit the campground only briefly (there is a high ridge to the south); habitats were very wet despite at least 2 days since the last rain. A few habitats were productive, but others yielded little or nothing. We did manage to get 22-23 species, enough to check off this area on the map, and 2 of the microspiders I sifted look very unfamiliar, so the day was not wasted, though at the time, I was sorry I talked Laurel into it!
