Selected photos by Rod
Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from our 29 May 2018, half-day spider collecting trip to the townsite of Blewett, along the Blewett Pass Highway, Chelan County, Washington. The now-vanished mining town existed from the late 19th century to the 1940s. This site appeared to have decent habitats in Street View, and I only needed 4 more species to complete the 17-species sample we got last year at nearby Ruby Creek. Our brief visit (not without its brush with crime, see narrative) was a success, adding 13 more species for a total of 30. Laurel's account is here.
