Album of Mason Lake Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford from my 22 February 2015 spider collecting trip with Jessi Bishopp to Mason Lake County Park, Mason County, Washington. We began with decent samples from shore litter, shrubs, sedge and the restroom building in the small park (mainly the setting for a snazzy boat launch). Then we got excellent tree and shrub foliage samples from a nearby clearcut and outstandingly rich moss fauna from 2 bags of moss of a swamp alder. Our concluding grass sweep and upland alder litter brought us up to an astounding 51 species! All within a short walk of the parking lot.
