Selected photos by Rod
Crawford from my 3 May 2015 spider collecting trip with Audrey Zehren to the north end of Lake Nahwatzel, Mason County, Washington. Having time for a second sample after Deckerville Swamp, we visited this curious-looking round clearing found on aerial photos, later finding that it was the site of a 2008 fatal plane crash. The dead fliers couldn't ask for a better memorial than this great spider habitat, where we took 38-39 species in a half day, some of them very uncommon!
