Album of Bush Creek Valley Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Della Scott from our 15 May 2021 spider collecting trip to a site on the east side of Bush Creek Valley, west of McCleary, Grays Harbor County, Washington. I hoped to collect in a clearcut in the region of former open prairies in hopes of some prairie fauna, but didn't find much of that except the one notable species Cyclosa turbinata. However, the general fauna was OK in the clearcut and very rich down below in the incredibly lush riparian woodland. I'd hoped the grassy old road we hiked in on would lead me to a litter-rich stream ravine, but it was not to be; but an early-evening stop at a cemetery east of Elma added a couple for a 38-species total.
