Album of Horse Haven Creek Field Trip
Selected photos from the spider collecting field trip to Horse
Haven Creek, near Orting, Pierce County, Washington on 6 May 2006. Photos by
Rod Crawford. This lovely spot is part
of a 320 acre parcel of state forest land that is being swapped to a developer
by the Department of Natural Resources (our Public Servants) for another natural
resource - a Walgreens store! If this sounds too outrageous to be believed,
see this news story or download the minutes (warning: pdf documents) of the January and February 2006 Board of Natural Resources meetings as evidence.
