Album of Pluvius Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from our 26 September 2025 spider collecting trip (with Kathy Whaley) to Pluvius and vicinity, Pacific County, Washington. Pluvius was once a town but now is only a (very appropriate) name. Adjacent is Pluvius Hill (occupied by working forest) and a long stretch of the Willapa Hills Trail, a rail trail passing through varied habitats where we found splendid sylvan solitude and a fine array of spiders, 44 species in all. See first image below for the trail and our collecting sites.
