Album of Lewis River Field Trip

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Michael Sweepe from our 8 November 2014 spider collecting trip (with Gene Wan) to sites near two dams on the Lewis River, Cowlitz County, Washington. The object was to supplement partial samples of 7 species near the town of Yale and 19 species near the town of Ariel. Although the leaf litter was wetter than expected (and so were a minority of the ferns), the weather was beautiful and we succeeded in both areas, boosting the samples to 40 species near Yale and 35 near Ariel; including a few uncommon ones.
