Album of Haynes Estate Conservation Area Field Trips

Selected photos by Rod Crawford and Laurel Ramseyer from spider collecting trips on 8 October 2013 (in the rain) and 9 October (in the sun) to the Haynes Estate Conservation Area on the Little Spokane River, Spokane County, Washington. On Tuesday the rain began just as we belatedly arrived, but we still managed to get 11 species in a very short time before calling it a day. On Wednesday, habitats had nicely dried out when we revisited the preserve after a day farther down the same river; we boosted the sample to 24 species with another very short visit, including rarities like Ceratinella brunnea and Meioneta danielbelangeri. See here and here for Laurel's accounts of this site.
